Healthcare was incorporated in 2002 as Universal Medical Services Limited Healthcare, a fully fledged subsidiary of Providence Hospitals Limited. The goal at Inception was to develop a company capable of becoming a major player in the Health Management Industry of Nigeria. The company is registered in accordance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990, and accredited by the National Health Insuranc Scheme (NHIS)
In 2011 the Company changed its name to Gamma Health Nigeria Limited to foous on managed Healthoore. Following the Investment of Great Nigeria Insurance Plc In the company in 2012, the company’s name was changed to GNI Healthcare.
